Barriere Ridge Resort features lakefront property on one of British Columbia's most beautiful lakes with water temperatures of over 27°C in the summertime. This area has a long summer recreation period and the lake boasts little wind. East Barriere Lake is one of the last undeveloped lakes in the interior of BC still available. Set in a narrow valley and surrounded by mountains and crown land, East Barriere Lake is located west of the famous Adams Lake and east of the North Thompson River Valley. This is the lake that will provide you with that closeness to the wilderness and the outdoors that is so lacking at other familiar recreation lake locations. For Barriere Ridge Resort owners, the every-day necessary amenities are available only a short drive away at the Village of Barriere.
Bob Simpson is the developer who has provided the vision for the Barrierre Ridge Resort development. A Chartered Accountant and founding shareholder of REON Management Services Inc. in 1975, Bob has established his own summer home on the lake. Bob was born, raised, educated and lives in Kamloops, when not enjoying his cabin at the lake.
Utilities provided consist of water and sewer connections to each site and road access to the resort. Water and sewer treatment has been designed to ensure state of the art components have been utilized and strictest adherence to environmental regulations has been met.
Space and water heating in the individual cabins and homes is the owner's choice, however wood and propane are the most common sources.
To ensure that security is maintained during the winter months, a security gate is kept locked at the entrance to the resort.
